Rumi Hires (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through rumihires.com, why we collect it, and how it is used. We are based in Queensland, Australia.

who we are

information you give us

When you send an enquiry or quote request, you may provide:

• name
• email address and/or phone number
• event type, hire dates, delivery or pickup preference
• message details and any hire items in your quote list

We use this only to reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes, and manage bookings. We do not sell your personal details to third parties for their marketing.

how enquiries are sent

Enquiry forms are submitted securely over HTTPS through Web3Forms (a form delivery service) and delivered to our business email (hello@rumihires.com). If that service is unavailable, the site may fall back to opening your device’s email app so you can still contact us.

Web3Forms processes the form contents only to deliver the message. See their terms and privacy information on the Web3Forms website.

quote list on your device

Items you add to a quote list are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device so the list stays available while you browse. This data stays on your device unless you include it in an enquiry. You can clear it by clearing site data in your browser settings.

cookies, pixels and advertising

This website uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook / Instagram advertising technology operated by Meta Platforms). The Pixel helps us:

• understand how people find and use the site (for example, page views)
• measure advertising performance
• show relevant Rumi Hires ads to people who may be interested, including on Meta platforms

Meta may set or read cookies and similar technologies, and may collect device and browsing information according to Meta’s own policies. We do not control Meta’s full use of that data.

other third parties

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and is hosted via GitHub Pages with our custom domain. Those providers may process technical connection data (such as IP address) as part of delivering the site or fonts. External links (for example Google reviews) are subject to those sites’ own privacy policies.

how long we keep information

Enquiry emails and booking-related correspondence are kept as long as needed to respond, manage the hire, and meet ordinary business or legal record-keeping needs. Browser storage (quote list / notice preference) remains until you clear it.

your choices

• You can contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you from enquiries, or to request a correction.
• You can opt out of Meta interest-based ads using the links above, or limit tracking in your browser.
• You do not have to submit the enquiry form to browse the catalogue; calling or emailing us directly is always fine.

security

The site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect enquiry information in our email and business systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

changes

We may update this policy when our practices change (for example, new tools or services). The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
